So I have been a bad blogger lately. Nothing new or interesting going on I guess. Just normal life. School, work, repeat. We do have an EXTREMELY busy calendar coming up for October so hopefully this will lead to some good posts.
Examples...
Sadie turning 18 months
Sadie moving up from infant room to toddler room at school :(

Sucker
So "their is a sucker born every minute right?" Well, I would be the one. So the other day my suckerism forced me to purchase one of these...

Random Tidbits
I have already started, and nearly completed my Christmas shopping for Sadie.
I have no idea what to get Steve for Christmas. He is the hardest person to shop for.
I totally bombed my Labor Relations Midterm last night 72/100. I think that is the lowest score I have ever had on a test in my life. Totally depressing and I have to improve.
Sadie is crabby and the doctor says she has a sore throat.
Steve wants to get a new phone and he told me that blackberry's are buy one get one free. I know I will be so tempted to have blackberry service.....
I want to eat organic or should I say just eat better in general. I am just so ignorant on how this organic stuff works and extremely untalented with cooking. I am beginning to feel so guilty if I open a can of ravioli for Sadie's dinner :(
I am going to go check out Aldi this weekend and see if they have any deals that would be worth going back for. I have read they do have some good possibilities.
The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend but Steve is working all night Friday and all day Saturday so it will just be Sadie and I. I need to think of where I want to take her so we can squeeze any enjoyment left out of this warm weather.
I am going to my favorite Mom2Mom sale this weekend at Woodside and I just can not wait since I have been known to pick up some of the best deals at this sale in particular.

Reality TV has it all wrong
So two of my beloved reality TV shows both had their finales this week.
Second, more to love. Luke picked Tali? Again, what the heck was going on? Yes, Tali is nice and has a nice background to tell but I think he and Malissa were so much better together. Hello, Luke don't you see all the problems you and Tali are going to have? She is a baby, can't swim, is stubborn and a completely different religion than you. Good luck with that. I hope Malissa gets a sequel.

So Sadie's new word is, drum roll please, Ahder (Otter).

Thanks Baby Einstein.

P.S. In what Neighborhood is an Otter a familiar animal?

Your ID Please.
So Sadie has a way of identifying her 4 most favorite people and when she sees these items she shouts out who it is.
Any tan colored cat....

Yaya, Steve's mom

Anything with blond hair, including characters in books and polly pockets...
Me, hahahahahahaha, so innocent that she thinks I resemble a polly pocket

Today
So I am being mocked because my weekend to-do list looks like this....
Not a very good picture I know. Basically every waking moment is planned out and yes, those are times listed next to everything. The agenda starts at 6:00 a.m. and ends at 7:00 a.m. with Sadie going to bed. So I'm overly organized, kill me.

Labor Relations
Dear Labor Relations,
Can't we get along? A 14/20 on your quiz made me so sad. Throw me a bone here I have to pass this class.
Love,
Katie

Labor Day
So this past weekend had to be the laziest we have had in a long time....
Saturday:
Since Sadie decided it was a good day to wake up at 6:30 a.m. So when I got up I made egg muffin sandwiches which were delicious and daddy was off to work. As soon as daddy left we were off to WalMart for an early morning shopping adventure. We ran home put all of the cold items away and managed to make it to the gym an hour before we had swimming lessons so it was nice to burn a few calories and not to mention I was so proud of myself.
Sadie had her last swimming lesson for the season so it was bittersweet but she really became a good swimmer. She can kick and move her arms at the same time, she loves to jump in and she can push herself off of the wall. So in all it was a success. After swimming we ran straight home, showered and got dressed to go have lunch with daddy. So we got there just in time and Sadie fell asleep so daddy and I read more of The five love languages after we ate.
FYI: Steve is Quality Time and I am Gifts with a secondary of Words of Affirmation
Once we left I went to stop by the library to return some books but I forgot all non-essential government agencies were closed due to budget cuts. Dang it.
So we decided to head over to Partridge Creek so I could look for a blue striped shirt for Sadie's 18 month pictures coming up. I successfully found one at the Gap.
Sunday:
So Sunday morning Sadie decided to once again get up at 6:30 a.m. and let me tell you she is not one of those adorable children that sit in their crib and talk to themselves or wake up peacefully. Nooooooo way. She screams and whines until you can't take it anymore and you have to just get her up. So lucky for me Steve got up with her and when I did get up we went out for our McDonalds breakfast and then decided to go to the 8:00 a.m. church service. We normally go to church at 9:30 a.m. since there is child care during that service but we thought we would give it a chance. BIG MISTAKE! Sadie sat nicely for about 30 seconds and then she wanted to run around scream for dada and listen to her echo, try to play with sharp pencils, walk up and down the stairs leading into the chapel and on and on so finally Steve couldn't take it and we left. I think we were meant to go though because the new bible study classes were posted and Steve agreed to sign up for the Fireproof class with me! I am so excited and it begins this weekend so it should be fun. When we got home we ate lunch and Sadie went down for her nap.
As soon as she got up we were off to Steve's cousins house for a barbecue. His cousin lives an hour away so it was quite a drive but fun because Steve got to play with all of his cousins and it was fun to see him happy and running around. Plus his cousins and nephew are so cool so it was nice to see them all.
On our way home Steve wanted to stop for a drink so we pulled into a Wendy's and of course they forgot our straw! We have been having the worst luck with drive-thrus and them forgetting the straw. It is a little difficult to drink an extra large Pepsi when driving with no straw. So we had to pull off the road at another Taco Bell and get another one.
Monday:
On Monday my mom came and picked Sadie up since she had been up north at my uncles cabin all weekend. As soon as she left Steve and I started with our Statistics homework which at this point is not so bad. We were working on finding the mean, median and mode. Then Steve kept working on how to find the information on my old TI-86 since the professor only showed us on a TI-83. I then went on to study my Labor Relations. After that was all done we went out to use my gift card that my grandma gave me for my birthday from Outback. When we got to outback we were sad to see they did not open till 4 p.m. Grrr. So off we went to Kroger to get out lunch meat and a few other things and we waited 30 mins+ at the deli! It was crazy!
So as soon as we got home my mom was there with sleeping Sadie so she stuck around for a few minutes to discuss our January trip a bit. When she left we caught up on more episodes of The Office Season 3.
That was pretty much it.

Is it my destiny?
So next Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 9 a.m. EST Disney will be accepting applications for the Disney Moms Panel.
So I just started off the top of my head writing down words that came to mind when I thought of Disney to get myself started.

So from what I have read you only have 100 words to write about your family, 100 words to write about yourself and 100 words to write about why you would be good for the job.
So I am like stressing about making the best possible responses and making them creative and unique so I some how stick out. Well not really stressing because I know if I let the creative juices flow it will be okay but I am nervous.
Anyone who has ever known me knows that it has been my dream since childhood to work for Disney. In 2006 I was offered an internship there and it was like the greatest thing that ever happened to me. At the time though I was overwhelmed with love for my now husband and well I guess everything happens for a reason. Since then though I have wondered what would have happen had I taken that job. I never worry about my husband because I was so head over heels for him that would have never been a problem for me but would have have wanted to go down there once I was addicted? Would I have had the opportunities I have had now with starting my corporate career? I guess I will never know but I see this as the perfect opportunity for me to still give back to others in a public forum and give a little of my Disney bug to others.

Random Thoughts
So I have not posted on here in what seems like forever. Nothing exciting going on just the general ho hum.
I have been really busy at work which has been so exciting because I love being busy for several reasons (1) I get to learn more and meet new people (2) I get to use my brain (3) My days go by so fast. So basically I love it and hope it does not end and I get more responsibility so I can eventually dominate the HR industry!! Haha okay maybe not that intense but I do have high hopes for the future.
So I once again find myself in school and I decide to put my computer bag on the chair next to me to hopefully deter any wierdos from sitting next to me, my plan is working so far.
I have been obsessing over our upcoming Disney trip. IT IS ONLY 145 DAYS AWAY! Ahhhh! I feel like everyone thinks I am so crazy but I really want to make the most out of this experience.
I love my hubby. Last night we started a statistics class together and it was so awesome to sit next to him and have him help me point charts on a plot :) Just the little things make me feel so happy.
My little girl is so smart, wow she is like a sponge and now she is learning how to turn on the DVD player.
