Sometimes I think money I spend online must be like monopoly money or something. I sometimes forget that it is real and it is really going to come out of my bank. Online shopping is dangerous. The excitement I get when I see boxes stacked up is also dangerous. In the past two days here is all I have bought online.
1 new DVD, Cosmo subscription and Video games, here
140 Gift tags, 140 business cards, 1 tote, here
3 sweaters and a scarf from Victoria's Secret, here
Sharpies to go with our notepads for our family stocking give-a-way, here
Note on the sharpies: So I end up getting an e-mail from Staples stating my sharpies are out of stock, so I call up to just cancel my order because I figured I just wouldn't bother to go pick up the 2nd pack of basic sharpies since I can get them anywhere. Well, I call up and the lady tells me not to cancel because they refunded me the $25 and I ended up with a total of $-19! I said no that I did not feel right about it and she said they were doing it for everyone so just to keep it as is. I ended up getting -$19 back and when I went to the store to pick up my sharpies I told them about this and if they could take it back anyway and the girl said, "no, just keep it for your inconvenience." WOW
Thank you fellow bloggers!

Black (Thursday) Friday (and Saturday) Fun
I purchased this K'nex set for my cousin and this high chair for Sadie from Walmart.com.
Was $39.00 got it for $25.00
Was $19.99 got it for $10.00
Total spent on walmart.com: $36.00
After we ate our thanksgiving lunch (which was amazing by the way) my mom and I headed out to Old Navy. As soon as we walked in and saw the line was all the way to the back of the store we decided to split up and take turns waiting and shopping.
Here are my purchases, clockwise, a new tank top, two new t shirts a new sweater, new thermal shirt for Steve, pair of jeans for Steve, jacket for Sadie for next year (not sure what the grey thing is?), new jeans for me, rock band 2 and the guitar (free). Total spent: $121.00 and my mom gave me $20 toward this for the rock band so $101.00.
So after that we went home and I ended up falling asleep and my mom went straight to Toys R Us around 8 p.m. I ended up getting there around 11 a.m. to relieve her and we were one of the lucky ones to get ZhuZhu pets!
We were excited and we were in a good crowd so it was fun. The Lakeside Toys R Us was very organized so kudos to them.
Clockwise, hot potato game, princess baby doll, two packs of diapers ($3 each!), free crayons, the price is right on Wii, the Grinch who stole Christmas DVD and the child's medical kit. Also pictured, two Zhuzhus which are being sold on e-bay as we speak. Total spent: $71.20
Our next stop was Walmart. I went home again and took a nap since I get extremely crabby without my sleep. My mom went straight to Walmart at 12:30 a.m. I met her there around 3:30 a.m and sat with her for a bit and then went over and waited by the clothing. My mom ended up getting her camera which she was super excited about.
Here are my purchases, food storage containers thing.
Monsters Vs. Aliens and The Dark Knight on Blu Ray.
A new hoodie and jammies for Sadie along with a new jacket, tracksuit and Pj's for Mason.
Matching fleeces for Sadie and I.
A new coat for me (try to beat $7 for a new coat!).
I also bought this DVD player which I ended up returning. Total spent was: 162.63- 60.00(dvd player) so 102.63.
Then we went over to Avenue and I purchased some Christmas gifts and I am not going to post pics :) but I got all of my purchases for $10!
Then my mom and I got breakfast and took a nap. After we picked up Sadie from her grandma's we went to CVS.
From left, 1 refill of huggies wipes, 2 packs of huggies diapers, 4 bottles of Herbal essences shampoo, 1 bottle of Vaseline sheer infusion lotion, 2 boxes of rice krispies, 2 toothbrushes, 2 boxes of apple jacks, 1 tube of toothpaste and 2 boxes of fruit loops. Total: 41.92 but received $25 in ECBs so real total was $16.92.
When Steve got off work we went to Best Buy and bought...
A PS3! Oh and Simpsons season 12 and Taken on Blu Ray. Total spent: 349.77
Saturday we went back to Old Navy to get more deals.
From left, a blanket, thermal for me, thermal for Sadie and 3 stockings. Total $24.91
We also went to Michael's to purchase the candy for our molds.
16 bags of candy and 2 bags of pretzel stick bags for $30.
So this year for Christmas our family is doing a stocking exchange type of thing. Well here is the deal, everyone buys the number of items for the number of participants but the item must be under $1. So for example we have 16 people participating so that means we purchase 16 items. So for Steve I found these at Target on the dollar section. Cute huh?

Ooops I did it again
I missed my thankfuls yesterday! Darn it. Well, I was in a really bad mood so I suppose that is why I felt a little discouraged to blog. So I go to the dentist yesterday, assuming I am getting my molds to make my invisalign trays, boy was I wrong. The dentist looked at my tooth and said how nice it is and that she will see me in 3 months. WHAT!? I was then informed that the bone has to grow back in my gums before they can move teeth. Hmm, I didn't know you could "grow" bone but I guess I'm not a doctor either. So of course I started crying my eyes out and wanting to know why I was told 3 weeks and now it is going to be after Sadie's birthday before I get it. I was so upset/angry/feeling helpless. What can I do though right? Am I going to argue with someone who is giving me all of this dental work for free? No. So that was the end of that. So now countdown to February 23, 2010.
So then Steve and I had school so I met him up at Subway for dinner and I was so craving a meatball sub. Well when we were in line we are standing there and we watch this girl that work there pour these meatballs into the meatball container (does not get a clean container) and then fill the container that she was transferring the meatballs out of with water, swoosh it around and pour it in the meatballs, making them all watery. Well that totally ruined it for me. Then I wanted to check some black Friday stuff but could not get my computer to work, grrr. Steve and I went to school and turned in our take home test, took an evaluation and left. We went home and spent about 2 hours making selections for our health insurance for 2010 including enrolling in a flexible spending. I guess we will see how that works out for us. Then after that Steve went to bed and I stayed up for another 20 or so minutes printing out some paperwork I needed to turn in for the insurance.
So with that said I am thankful for...
- My free dental work
- The lunch meat offerings at Subway
- Having my own text book (so I can study at home)
Today I am thankful for....
- Friendly people in my office that talk, listen and give advice
- The opportunities Sadie has that I never did
- Knowing how to type without looking

Wow
So Steve and I did a lot of stuff this weekend as far as cleaning. Our goal is to clean our whole hose, deep down, room by room before Christmas Eve when we have family over. This weekend we decided to "start" our basement since it will take more than on night. Although I was not feeling well earlier in the day I ended up recovering and was able to help Steve out. We got rid of so much stuff! I should have taken a picture it was an awesome feeling. So today I am thankful for...
- A husband who is not a hoarder
- A semi-clean basement
- The (at least) 15 boxes of hand-me-down clothes I have now from this amazing woman...

Another Saturday....gone
So another Saturday is gone again. They go by so fast. Today Steve, Sadie and I got up, had our McDonalds, Steve left for work at 8 a.m., my mom showed up at 9:30 a.m.ish. Mom and I went shopping at JC Penney, then the new Clinton Township Wal Mart, came home did dishes and laundry, my Aunt Linda came over, I left to go to Target and Old Navy, my mom and I had lunch at Subway, came home, Sadie woke up from her nap, watched a little bit of Up, got ready, went to my cousins birthday party, came home did homework, watched Rosanne (drunken hines) and now it is nearly midnight.
Today I am thankful for....
- My awesome extended family, just so much fun to be around
- All of the great things we have been blessed with and the fact we are giving to others this holiday
- Subway meatball sub and how it does not upset my moody stomach

So I knew it was going to happen
So I missed yesterday with my "thankful" list. Boo to me. I stayed home from work because I started getting sick at 3 a.m. and I could not even move by the time I was supposed to leave for work. I remember in a daze turning on my laptop but don't even remember what I told my boss. I feel horrible that I have been missing so much work but it really is just circumstantial.
Also, today was a very exciting day because my mom won an all expenses paid trip to Mexico on the radio (see November 17 at 9 a.m.)! It is to the Occidential Grand Xcaret on the Mayan Riveria!!

I am still hopeful that I will get to go but I guess we will see. I never thought that real people won that kind of stuff so it is pretty cool.
So here we go.....
November 17, 2009
- Chicken Noodle Soup because it really does make me feel better
- Ginger Ale
- A nice warm shower
November 18, 2009
- Gaining a little bit of energy back (enough to stay standing long enough to dress Sadie
- Sadie's health
- The fact that we get to take our statistics test home this week!

- My baby daddy's smile
Before school, Steve and I stopped at Kroger to use the Buy 1 Get 1 free Hasbro card games. We got both the games pictured below for FREE. Steve was so excited because it was the first time he had gone to the store with me and got something free. Such an adrenaline rush.

A nice relaxing day
I can't begin to say how much I love Sunday's. Typically we sleep in which is the first great point of the day. Then we eat breakfast (either McDonalds or homemade egg muffin sandwiches) and then go to church at 9:30 a.m. After church we go to the grocery store to get our lunch meat, come home, feed Sadie and put her to bed. Then Steve and I typically sit around till she wakes up. He usually watches football and I snuggle up by him for a well needed nap. I pretty much fall right asleep and it is the greatest thing in the world.
So this Sunday I am thankful for....
- The fact that we only had to go to the store to cash in our coinstar change (took advantage of the cash in $40 in Amazon gift card get $10 free and pick up some water, our shopping trip was so incredibly quick
- A baby girl who fell asleep in my arms when I was singing to her (just about the cutest thing ever and since I am a horrible singer I give her credit for listening to me)
- Getting Red Robin takeout for dinner = no prep+no cleanup

Target Bargains!
So my mom and I took a (relaxing) trip to Target to pick up some bargains. There were a few things we were especially proud of.
First, I had a doctors appointment and right before I had stopped at Target to pick up the alphabet pal you see on top here.
I had an ad from Toys R Us for half off which brought it down to $10.49
Target had a $10 off coupon
Total came to .52!
Then we stopped at another Target to pick up some more glad and a few groceries. They would not price match the ad since it was a "door buster" sale. They did however give us the following bargain.
Up on BluRay $19.99
Monsters Inc on BluRay $19.99
$10 off coupon on Up
$8 off coupon on Monsters Inc.
$10 off Target coupon when you buy both on BluRay
Used a $5 Gift Card we had just received on our Glade purchase
Total $6.98 plus TaxI also picked this toy up for Mason it was regularly $17.00 and then I had a $5 off Hasbro coupon total came to $12.00.
On the way home we stopped back at the Target where I bought the first alphabet pal and the shelf was empty. It was nearly 10:00 p.m. and Target was closing so we called Toys R Us to ask if they would accept competitor coupons, they said yes! We hightailed it to Toys R Us and found 2 more alphabet pals. We take them to the register with the Target coupons and they told us sorry we do not take these coupons. We we said, "we just called and they said they would." Finally, the supervisor was like, "Just do it." So we scored two more for .52 each!
It was a fun night!
Here are some cute pics of my baby girl. I just love her so.
I am thankful for.....
- Spending time with my mom
- An understanding husband who lets me go out shopping to recollect my sanity
- Amazing weather that allows us to still go to the park.

Toothache.
So....I had my tooth pulled last night. I basically sucked. The dentist rocked on it for like an hour and it is so sore today, but it is gone and done. I would post pics but it is really nasty and I look a bit redneckish so I will not be doing that. Bring on the invisalign trays.
On this Friday the 13th I am thankful for....
- Nice people that are left in this world
- Resting on the weekends with my family
- Sleep (because when I get it, it is a beautiful thing)

Sadie vs. Mommy vs. Target
So last night I had a brilliant idea that Sadie and I were going to stop at Target after work.
So out I go and I start to put Sadie in her seat, well she decides she does not want to go in.
Yes, after this mess, I still have so much to be thankful for.
- A beautiful health, active daughter
- Prayer
- Tears, so I can let it all out and be over it

Well, today I am thankful for....
- The beautiful Michigan weather we have been having
- My heater under my desk (because all though it is nice outside it is freezing in my office)
