So last night I had a brilliant idea that Sadie and I were going to stop at Target after work.
I really wanted to pick up the new movie UP and Monsters Inc. since I had a coupon for $8 off, $10 off and then another $10 off when you buy both. Plus I had a few other things to pick up as well. So I printed off everything we needed at my Mother-in-laws and off we went.
First thing when we got there, Sadie immediately screamed because she was going in the cart. She didn't want to be in the front but I hate when she goes in the back because she does not understand she will hurt herself if she is not careful. So she screamed all the way from the parking lot into the store and down the first aisle.

I started playing this game with her where I push the cart a little bit in front and go "Bye Sadie." She thinks it is freaking hilarious. So once she was in a good mood I stopped to get some greeting cards. Still fine.

Down to the baby department to get diapers since they were on sale buy 2 and get a free $10 gift card. Well, they had every size EXCEPT 5 of course so I had to track someone down to help me. Finally when I found someone in toys, he scanned the barcode and of course they were out. Strike one.

Then I went over to the toy department to try to find this cat that Steph wants to get Sadie for Christmas and they had it! Last one!

Next, over to the seasonal section to see if they put out the "stocking stuffers" and yes they had so I scored 3 Mr. Potato heads (which were 5.99 each but I had a coupon for 5.00 off!). Yesss.

Next, over to housewares to try to find the Ziploc bags on sale. Couldn't find them.

Then over to the travel section to try to find some All detergent (had a coupon that would have made it free) and toothpaste (another coupon deal). No luck. Sadie was getting very antsy and wanted to sit in the back of the cart.

I checked out the Glade products since I had a bunch of good coupons and I plan on making gift baskets for everyone for Christmas with candles, got some really good ones. Sadie now attempting to throw everything out of the basket to make room for herself.

Then back to electronics to pick up the BluRay's...here's where things get interesting. So I grab Up since it was clearly on display and take off for the checkouts. By now I am holding Sadie since she wants nothing to do with the cart or it's contents. Trying to push a full cart with a 22 lb baby on your hip is not an easy task.

Get to check out and load everything up on the belt. Then I am getting my coupons out when I realize I did not get the Monsters Inc. BluRay and this would exclude 2 of my coupons! Ahhh, I apologize to the cashier and load everything back in my cart and head back to electronics.

Get back to electronics and the shelf for Monsters Inc. is empty. I walk around and around for a few minutes hoping I would find a stray copy or that possibly one is behind another copy or something. Of course not. So I find someone to help at the electronics desk (the same kid who helped with my diapers). He was talking to a customer who was clearly someone he knew because he stopped and asked if I needed something. I told him I was looking for the Monsters Inc. BluRay. He starts looking through his little hand held scanner thing. Looking, looking, looking. Sadie now is getting crabby and just screaming mama, mama, mama for me to hold her.

Electronics guy informs me they do not carry the BluRay of Monsters Inc. I tell him yes you do I was just by the shelf. Ohh, he says can you show me where it is? So we walk over there and he quickly scans the barcode. Nope, we don't have any and no stores around here do. Why didn't he do that in the first place? Sadie is screaming and clinging on to me for dear life.

I say well will you honor the BluRay coupon on the regular copy since no stores have it? Oh, umm let me ask my manager.

Manager comes over to tell me she needs to call a higher manager. Sadie is now screaming and I am feeling something warm. The new manager asks if everything is okay and I look down to see Sadie and I are both soaked in pee. Well, my daughter just wet herself and her diaper bag is in the car. The manager tells me she will QUICKLY ask her manager about the coupons so we can go.

She comes back to say her manager says no it has to be the BluRay. I say that is horrible because no stores have it in the area at all. She looks puzzled an soon produces a list with all the stores in the area but each only has like 2 or 3 copies. Do you want me to call one for you? I ask her to please call one and have them hold both Up and Monsters. As she is walking away I say can you please tell them I will be there around 5 tomorrow? She walks back over to tell me they can't do that and I will need to go there tonight. I hand her my copy of Up and tell her thanks for her time but it is way past my daughters bed time. I nearly start crying after this whole fiasco.

So I go back to check outs and again Sadie is just hysterical. I throw my stuff up and I think the cashier was a little afraid of me. She must be a mom and have just seen the hysterics in my eyes. I argue for Sadie to sit down before she falls. She doesn't and I hold her again getting more and more urine soaking through my clothes.

So out I go and I start to put Sadie in her seat, well she decides she does not want to go in.

Finally in she goes and I burst into tears trying to frantically call my mom and my husband and get no answer. Finally Steve answers and I start crying telling him how I was trying to get a movie and they didn't have it and Sadie pee'd and on and on (sounds pretty stupid now). Well, he calms me down and I get home and then as I am talking to my mom I tell her I spent $60. That sounded really high. Hmm, I start to check the receipt and notice 3 of my coupons were not used! Ahhhhh. So I call the store to tell them I wasn't paying attention because my daughter was upset and on and on. You have to come back to the store.

After Steve gets home, we have our frozen pizza, I decide I better go back tonight because I don't want them to say something like they have no proof or they can't find my coupons or so on. So I get up to the service desk and show the lady a list I had made of all the coupons that were not used. She calls another guy who goes into the cashiers drawer and gets the coupons right out for me no questions asked. They refund the coupons quickly and I am done in a few minutes; I got 12 dollars back! Thankfully.

While I am there I also pick up another Mr. Potato head for $1, now bringing my total to 4 but they will make great Toys for Tots donations.
