Workin' for the weekend

So this weekend was an eventful 2 1/2 days.

Friday: Went to Zenia's (my mother-in-law) for dinner with Darren and Debbie. My mom showed up too so it was nice to have everyone together. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad and an awesome angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip (courtsey of Debbie). Good food and family! The evening ended with a midnight slumber party since Sadie decided this would be a great time to have one.

Saturday: Steve worked at 9 so we went grocery shopping in the AM and got that out of the way. Then our standard McDonalds for breakfast. Once Steve left Sadie decided to go back down for a well needed rest for both herself and Mommy. After lunch we headed over to Target to purchase cards and gifts. Next, off to Bellas 2nd birthday party where Steph attended along with Gin, Tom and Karen who are all great friends. After a short visit we headed over to Anthony's (My cousin) graduation party which was a wonderful opportunity to see all of my aunts, uncles and cousins and especially my precious little cousin Isabella. Such a doll. Unfortunately, we had to quickly head out to get a cranky baby home. After a quick stop at Blockbuster to rent Walk Hard and Paul Blart; we had some grilled cheese and noodles for dinner (quick and easy). Again this evening Sadie wanted to have a midnight slumber party with Daddy and I so we all found ourselves snoozing on the couch for a bit.

Sunday: Daddy and baby got up early to do some shopping while I got a head start on my midterm for one of my Masters classes. I was pretty well ahead by the time they got home and just finished up a few things before submitting the paper. We had a wonderful lunch of pizza sandwiches (like a grilled cheese except with mozzarella, pizza sauce and pepperoni) and then Sadie decided to take a little nap. Steve and I watched Paul Blart Mall Cop which was an okay movie but we were happy to discover we have a free edition of HBO and Cinemax! Bonus! Hot Dogs and macaroni for dinner before taking a walk around the block to end our evening.

A happy and fun filled weekend!
